We should be able to lower the overall cost of healthcare for every American with a healthcare credit card.

Taxes

How many people agree with me that we pay too much taxes, and how many agree that Washington is not being a good steward of our money?

We should be on a flat tax system of around 13% for all individuals and families. The current US average is $59,428 x 13% = $7,725.64, about $148.00 per week.

On business taxes, do you believe Washington has built this country, or do you think hard-working men and women like you and me built it? Strong men and women have built this country, so we should lower the taxes on our business and build this country up.

Why are most Americans doing the government's job of filling out tax forms? Your employer should send your W-2 to the government. As long as all your information is correct on your W-4, they should have all they need. I am not talking about self-employment or any other income but about the average American. For all the rest, with other sources of income or deductions, you need to file an amendment.

Our current system is the biggest Ponzi Scheme that makes Madoff look like an amateur. Social Security needs to be put in an investment fund, and everyone should be able to control their own destiny with the fund. They should be able to contribute more if they so wish.

As one of the wealthiest countries in the world, we should lower the age, not be considering raising the age of Social Security.

The budget must be on top of the president's list. We must get this spending under control. We need to cut the current budget and start again.

• Start a Rainy Day Fund.

• Pay Off All Debt.

• Save 24 Months of Expenses in the Rainy Day Fund.

• Build Wealth for the United States and Give as we have never given before.

We do this by only paying the necessary bills and putting the brakes on all other spending. If we do not do this now, it will only hurt the United States more down the road.

US Spending

When this issue arises, I think about Mary and what If she had aborted her child. So many things we know and love came from this decision. Christmas and Christianity would not exist. God’s plan for salvation would have been destroyed. There would be no opportunity for salvation. Sin and death would not have been overcome. If Mary had decided to abort Jesus, billions of people would have been affected. Her abortion would not have affected her alone.

The first recorded abortion was in 1550 BC, so this was an issue at the time of Mary and Jesus. After saying yes to the angel Gabriel, Mary had ample reason to change her mind. Why? Because, in those days, a pregnant woman outside of marriage was typically stoned to death. I’m grateful that she remained true to her word.

God has a plan for everyone.

I know this is a tough subject, but we must understand that God has a plan for everyone. This mite means that he has chosen you to cure cancer or other complex diseases, and if we decide to termite God's plan, then we are only killing ourselves.

It is time we have real change in Washinton. Let us refrain from resorting to speeches on Gun Control. Let's talk about changes that can save lives. When these crimes were committed, they were committed by non-law-abiding citizens, so new laws will not stop these criminals. It's time we get serious about this, and let's make some changes that will save lives by eliminating soft targets.

We should mandate all places where people gather to have a plan for such incidents and training by local officials so they can identify their vulnerabilities. We Should have school officials trained for this as well. We should have a resource officer available at every school building in America.

College

We need to focus more on our most significant asset, our youth. This is why we need to revamp the high school prep classes. There are a lot of great programs out there to help students pay for college, but they're not genuinely being utilized to their full potential by our students because of their complexity. We must have a class in high school to help our students navigate their career paths. After these classes, our students should know how to obtain money for college to understand what their future will look like.

High schools should equip their students with a plan for their future. Students should have time to explore their career choices by spending time in their chosen career field by interning in their chosen field. This will help the student know if this is the correct path for them and reduce the cost of changing majors. But before they do this, the student should do a career assessment to see if that is indeed what they want. Once they can accomplish these two tasks, it's on to building a career plan to understand what schools and classes they will need to obtain their goal, the cost, and how they will pay for it. So they will not be broke after school. In their career assessment, they should have explored their expected salary and ways they will fund their dream. There are many ways to obtain funding for schools, but students are often just looking to get into school rather than looking at the whole picture, which is why teaching this in our high schools is so important. This is not meant to deter students from their dreams but to teach them how to achieve them.
